Sleepyhead

The design is 23.5cms by 22.5cms (9¼" by 9") and is worked on 14ct aida or 28ct evenweave.Available as a full kit or as a chart pack. This was the first design in the Sleepyhead series, which features a very small person and his Mum. I have deliberately chosen not to make it obvious whether baby is a boy or a girl, so that if you are stitching this design to celebrate a ‘pending new arrival’ then it needn’t be an issue. Make it more personal by adding backstitched name and birth details. The theme of the series is full of nostalgia for me, for which I make no apology. When working on the design I was trying to capture a feeling of overwhelming love, warmth and security. If only childhood was always like this. However, it is just a glimpse of one of those special moments that many of you will recognise.

Sleepyhead Playtime

The design is 31.5cms by 28.5cms (12¼" by 11") and is worked on 14ct aida or 28ct evenweave.Available as a full kit or as a chart pack. This was the third in the Sleepyhead series of designs, and as you can see, our baby now has a playmate! I think of her as the ‘little girl next door’ and Julie Caisey from Somerset, England, who test stitched the model for me, thinks she ought to be called Phoebe (pronounced Feebee)......I think it suits her, what do you think?
